Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Prize

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The trio have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.
This year's winner will be revealed live on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.
The event will be televised from seven in the evening GMT.
Agyemang's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Football
A mere three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"Being on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Being nominated for this award again is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and rose to fame with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
