We begin with queries from Conservative lawmaker the panel's head, who oversees the group.

She initiates by giving details to the disclosed memo prepared by Michael Prescott and printed in the Telegraph.

"I don't want the BBC slanting in any particular direction, My only wish is for it neutral, impartial and just," he says.

When asked whether he thinks the British Broadcasting Corporation is structurally prejudiced, Prescott responds: "No, I do not. Let's be clear, a great deal the BBC does is top-tier - both factual and entertainment shows."

However, he continues: "There remains significant effort that requires attention at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

Another previous consultant BBC consultant interviewed by the group, Caroline Daniel, states she views the BBC extremely earnestly and that it has a "ongoing system and vigorous discourse" regarding dynamic and complex topics.

"Whether the BBC was ready to conduct a proper dialogue and debate and act accordingly?" she questions. "As I see it, indeed, they were."
